With the growing complexity and number of social networks, it is hard to keep up so we’re here with our top tips.
One. Rather than trying to create new content for each social channel, one of the best practices you can adopt is to choose the key channel you want to focus on. It doesn’t mean ignore all the other channels, but posting on those less often and encouraging fans to follow on the network(s) you are concentrating on.
Two. Simply broadcasting advertisements on Twitter and Facebook is not going to attract or engage followers. Be interactive. Post things like quizzes or polls to engage followers. Or maybe run a live Q&A or a competition.
Three. Plan in advance. Set up a content calendar so that you’re not scrambling to figure out what to post every morning.
Four. Video is not just for YouTube anymore. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest all support video and all need to have some attention to video.
Five. React quickly. In Social Media, customers have high expectations for a quick response – typically within an hour but at most a day.
